About me & my blog

After two years of teaching Algebra 1 at Central High School in Helena-West Helena, AR I have been recruited to become a Math Coach.  This blog is a place for me to reflect and share what is working (and not) in my classroom and my role as a coach to be better for my students & school.

Some random facts about me:

  • I work with the Arkansas Teacher Corps as the PLC leader for their first cohort of math teachers.
  • I’m a Teach for America Arkansas Corps Alumni
  • I once biked across America from New Hampshire to Vancouver B.C.  Read about it if you’d like 🙂
  • I’m allergic to mammal meat :O
  • I love swimming and even swam competitively in college
  • In the past 5 years, I have lived in 5 states to varying degrees (Michigan for high school, Ohio for college, Mississippi for TFA training, Arkansas to teach, and Tennessee for crazy commutes to Arkansas with best friends)
